We headed down to Guadalajara last weekend to enjoy the more tropical climate and to visit some good friends. Unfortunately, our plans for walking around the city, shopping, and enjoying the freedom of movement afforded to our Guadalajara coworkers were completely thrown to the wind when one of the local cartels threw up dozens of roadblocks throughout the city and sent us into temporary travel lock-down.
Instead of spending the weekend shopping and dining, we spend our time hanging out in our friends’ gorgeous house, eating delicious tacos and drinking through their wine collection. It was awesome, just in a different way than we had expected. Since we weren’t really allowed out and about much over the weekend, I didn’t get the chance to take a ton of pictures, but here are some of my favorites:
